Use the directions below to create a dialup connection for
the
Windows ME operating system.

Double-click My Computer, then Control Panel.
and then

Double-click Internet Options.

Click Connections tab, click Setup to continue.

Select I want to set up my Internet connection manually,
then Next to continue.

Select I connect through a phone line and a modem, click Next to continue.

Enter
the area code you live in, then Close to continue.
Note:
If your computer was previously configured for Dial-up Networking,
your system will skip to step #7 below.

Enter
area code and number to dial, then Next to continue.

Visit our Dial-Up
Number page and choose your desired dialup number.
Enter the number in the space as shown above. Click Next
to continue.
Notes:
If dialing our U.S. 1-800 number, enter 800 as
the area code, then 737-7530 as the telephone number. If
dialing one of our non-800 style numbers (see
list), use the calling format that works for the area
you are in. For example, if no area code is required when
dialing, you might only need XXX-XXXX as the number to dial.
Each country/state have their own calling formats. For more
information on calling patterns including access from Hotels,
visit our Helpful Tips section in the upper right corner
of this page.

Enter User name and Password exactly as you had
entered it during signup, then Next to continue.

Note: User
name and Password are case sensitive so if you
used any capitalization, it will be required here.
Add "@bamnet"
to the end of your user name. For example username@bamnet.
Important: do not add ".com"
to the end of @bamnet - this will not work!

Enter BAMnet as the Connection Name, click Next to continue.

Entering BAMnet
as the Connection Name will help you locate this connection
when trying to connect.

Select No for setting up a mail account, click Next to continue.

BAMnet Internet
does not offer e-mail accounts (i.e. yourname@bamnet.com).
We recommend use of free e-mail services such as Yahoo.com.
Note:
BAMnet does support SMTP services for your POP3 type email
addresses. See our Tips section
for more information about SMTP servers and e-mail services.

Click Finish to complete the process.

Test the connection
by dialing up.
Where do I
find the BAMnet icon? If it is not a shortcut on your
desktop, double-click My Computer, double-click Control
Panel, double-click Dial-up Networking, then
double-click BAMnet.

Click Connect to test your connection.

Once connected,
always remember to disconnect when finished using BAMnet!

What
do I do now? Upon a successful modem connection,
open either Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape and
start browsing the Internet. When finished browsing, please
remember to disconnect from BAMnet.
